NABV (Nederlandse Airsoft Belangen Vereniging) is the official airsoft association in the Netherlands, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Justice and Security. It represents players, airsoft sites, and retailers, and is responsible for regulating and overseeing the legal practice of airsoft in the Netherlands.
A person may become a member of NABV if they:
are 18 years of age or older,
have no criminal record that would prevent them from owning airsoft replicas (government background check),
agree to the NABV regulations,
register as an individual NABV member.
To obtain NABV membership, you must:
Register via the official NABV website,
Complete personal data verification,
Receive a positive decision following checks by the relevant authorities,
Pay the annual membership fee.
Once the process is completed, the individual is registered as an active NABV member.
Yes. NABV members receive a digital membership card (and in some cases a physical card), which confirms active membership and is used for purchases and participation in airsoft games.
Active NABV membership allows:

the possession and use of airsoft replicas in accordance with the law,
participation in legal airsoft games at approved sites,
use of replicas registered in the NABV system.
NABV membership is valid for one year and must be renewed annually by paying the membership fee. Failure to renew results in loss of active status.
If membership expires:
the NABV status becomes inactive,
purchasing new airsoft replicas is no longer possible,
possession of registered replicas may become non-compliant with current regulations until membership is renewed.
